Care and Washing Instructions

Your 'So Chic' cage curtains will last for years if you take reasonable care... the same kind of care you would give a beautiful blouse or evening dress.  Fold them neatly between uses.  Use the protective plastic provided to keep your cage bottom clean and stain-free.

We highly recommend hand washing your curtains in cold water and a delicate detergent such as Woolite.   Hang them to dry and use a light iron to press them as needed.

If you must machine wash, use a delicate cycle and cool water.   We do not guarantee curtains that are machine dried, so please hang them to dry and use a light  iron.

Any curtains that have sequins, fringe or  beads can only be machine washed if you first place them in a lingerie bag.  Even on delicate cycle, the agitation of a washing machine can break off  fringe and beads and can cause sequins to split and break!  Again, we recommend hand washing, but using delicate cycle and a lingerie bag is an option.

The heavy duty plastic that comes with the curtains can be machine washed in cool water.  You can add disinfectant (not bleach) to the water.  Then hang the plastic to dry.  It will look wrinkled, but the wrinkles will smooth out when you fold the plastic.  You can also spray the plastic with disinfectant and dry with paper towels at the show or between shows.

We wash our inside piece and disinfect the plastic between each show.

These are the only two pieces of the drapes that actually touch your cat.
